Learn Acoustic Guitar Damping – John Lennon’s Stand By Me

This is a you tube describing the string damping technique used by John Lennon when he covered the old rock and roll song Stand by Me. The technique is called right hand damping because you use your right hand, or strumming hand, to damp the strings. It’s really easy to do and sounds great, especially on acoustic guitar so try it out.
